In addition to the curriculum taught at CFR Community level, the Advanced course teaches the airway management: suctioning, use of an oropharyngeal airway (OPA), supraglottic airway (SGA) devices, bag valve mask (BVM), roles in team resuscitation and oxygen administration.

Course Requirements: This course is a requirement to maintain your practitioner licence and must be kept in date to ensure your licence is valid with PHECC. This course may be undertaken by a responder level student, but some skills cannot be used unless under clinical direction and your organisation allows it. If you are at a Responder level, please contact your organisation and ensure that it is possible for you to use the skills learned.
